Project Overview

Open Stockholm Hack – Take action for an inclusive city

Hackathon / Executive Producer

PROMAG co-produced Open Stockholm Hack together with Openlab/KTH for The City of Stockholm. Two societal challenges had a key role as well as digitalization and the potential it brings to include all groups in society. At this hack we deep-dived into the city’s open data and used chosen datasets or API:s to design digital solutions to the challenges. Data experts collaborated with the hack teams during the day to ensure feasible concepts as well as vision.

The challenges was:
-How can we use Stockholm´s open data to increase inclusion and interaction between people of different generations.
-How can we use Stockholm’s open data in public spaces to create a more open city?

Emma Rosman, founder of Welcome, gave a inspiring talk on creating inclusion in the city.

The hackathon was hosted by The Stockholm of City and connected to the Open Stockholm Award where the award finalists will be able to share a price of 100.000 SEK and the winners will be announced on an event at City Hall on January 18th 2017. The main goal for the solutions was that it should make Stockholm a better city for people living here and visiting.
